DOCUMENT:Q108083 08-DEC-1993 [W_NT] TITLE :Custom Forms Not Available in Print Manager PRODUCT :Windows NT PROD/VER:3.10 OPER/SYS:WINDOWS KEYWORDS:buglist3.10 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The information in this article applies to: - Microsoft Windows NT operating system version 3.1 - Microsoft Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- SYMPTOMS ======== A custom form created by a user may not be listed in the list of available forms when the user attempts to assign the form to a source. CAUSE ===== One possible cause is that if the newly created form has margins defined greater than what the printer driver has defined, the newly created form will not show up. This is true even if the printer is capable of handling the margins you specify. STATUS ====== Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. MORE INFORMATION ================ Steps to Reproduce Problem -------------------------- 1. In Print Manager, create a printer. 2. Select the Forms menu option. 3. Define a custom form using a paper size that the printer is physically capable of printing, but is larger than 8.5-by-11 inches. 4. From the Printer menu, choose Properties and then choose Setup. Attempt to assign the newly created form to a source. At this point, the form may not show up in the list of available forms.
